Estrela da Amadora welcomes Estoril Praia this Friday, with fans still looking for the first points on their return, 14 years later, to the First Football League, after two defeats at the start of the championship.
Gone are the defeats at home against Vitória de Guimarães (1-0), in a game in which they lost 10 players, after 21 minutes, due to the expulsion of Miguel Lopes, and in the visit to Benfica (2- 0), already in the second round.
In this Friday’s game, coach Sérgio Vieira will once again have Miguel Lopes, who will have to return to the team, although João Reis, who was injured by Luz, and central defender Mansur are out due to physical problems.
In Estoril Praia, Pedro Álvaro, who already missed the game with Rio Ave, should be out, also due to injury.
Álvaro Pacheco’s team reaches this third round after a 4-3 defeat in their debut, in Arouca, and a 2-0 win at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota, against Rio Ave.
The third day of the I Liga will take place from this Friday until September 9, the date of commitments of the teams and in which Sporting de Braga will visit Moreirense, with the ‘arsenalistas’ game postponed due to the play-off from ‘Champions’.
In other matches, champion Benfica visits Gil Vicente on Saturday (8:30 p.m.), while Sporting hosts Famalicão on Sunday (8:30 p.m.) and FC Porto visits Rio Ave on Monday (8:15 p.m.).
