No player from the Spanish team will wear the shirt to represent their country again if the current directors continue to lead the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The world champions say enough is enough and, in a harsh statement, they call for the resignation of Luis Rubiales.
The document also includes statements by Jenni Hermoso, who denies the president of the federation and affirms, exhaustively, that the kiss was not consented to and that she will not allow her word to be questioned.
The FutPro union, which signs the statement, stresses that no woman should be forced to clarify the images that have been seen by all, much less be the victim of this type of action without their consent.
The players ask for real structural changes in the federation, a request that is already old. It should be remembered that almost a year ago, after qualifying for the World Cup, 15 players from the national team sent an email to the federation in which they specifically requested important changes in the functioning of the organization.
They considered that the circumstances prevented them from reaching their maximum performance, affected their emotional state and refused to return to the national team if nothing changed.
Of those 15, only three have returned to Spain. Now, after having won a World Cup and before the behavior of the president of the federation, the players return to the fight.
