Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) said on Tuesday he hopes to get “a good result for the team” RNF in the next race of the MotoGP World Championship, the Grand Prix of Catalonia, which will take place next weekend.
The driver from Almada was forced to withdraw from the main race in Austria last race due to a technical problem with the front wheel of his Aprilia.
“After a disappointing result in Austria, I’m happy to turn the tide in our favor and get a good result for the team.” said the Portuguese pilot, quoted by the RNF team’s press service.
In 2022, the Italian brand placed two riders among the top seven, so Miguel Oliveira thinks it is possible to get a good result this year.
“Every time we’ve had the chance to prove it, we’ve been competitive. Knowing that Barcelona were last year too [um circuito] very good for Aprilia, I can’t wait to get there,” concludes Miguel Oliveira.
The GP of Catalonia is the 11th race of the season.
Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) arrives leading the championship with 251 points, 62 more than number two, Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati).
Miguel Oliveira is 15th with 40.
