Mehdi Taremi will not leave FC Porto in this transfer market, despite having been in negotiations with AC Milan and the fact that the vice president of the dragons, Vítor Baía, has confirmed the existence of an agreement between the two clubs.
According to Porto Canal (the club’s official channel), the Iranian forward met this Thursday with the president of FC Porto, Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa, and it was determined that the top scorer of the last championship would stay with the dragons.
During the afternoon, apart from the Champions League draw, Vítor Baía had confirmed the existence of an agreement between the two clubs for the transfer of the Iranian international.
“There is an agreement between FC Porto and Milan for Taremi, but there is a lack of understanding between the player and the club. Negotiations continue,” the historic Porto player told Sport Italia.
Mehdi Taremi signed for FC Porto from Rio Ave in 2020 and now begins his fourth season with a dragon on his chest. As a blue and white player, the striker scored 80 goals and won six trophies.
