The Argentine Mateo Tanlongo will play until the end of the season in Copenhagen on loan from Sporting, the Danish club announced on Friday, which also agreed to a clause for the acquisition of the midfielder.
“Copenhagen have signed Argentine midfielder Mateo Tanlongo, on loan from Sporting until the end of the season. A termination clause has been agreed,” read a statement from the two-time Danish champion, including the Portuguese Diogo Gonçalves.
Tanlongo, 20, arrived at Sporting in the middle of last season, in time to participate in 14 games, coming from Rosario Central.
“I am very happy to be here and I will work to adapt quickly and help the club. It is a great opportunity for me. Copenhagen is a respected club with very good results in Denmark and in European competitions, most recently qualifying again for the League of Champions”, affirmed the new number 8 of the Danish shield.
The Italian-Argentine midfielder, who played in the U-20 World Cup with Argentina, arrived at Sporting in January, after finishing his contract with Rosário Central, having agreed with the ‘lions’ a termination clause of 60 million euros.
