The Portuguese national team travels and trains in Bratislava

The Portuguese team travels and trains this Tuesday in Bratislava, in what will be the last session before the clash on Friday against Slovakia, of the fifth day of Group J of the qualifying phase for the Euro 2024 soccer championship.

The Portuguese delegation travels to the Slovak capital at 11:00 a.m. and has a session scheduled at 6:30 p.m. local time (5:30 p.m. in Lisbon), at the National Stadium, the scene of Friday’s meeting, with the first 15 minutes being open to the media.

On Wednesday, midfielder Rúben Neves worked in a limited way and away from the rest of the team due to myalgia, while the remaining 23 players were left at the disposal of coach Roberto Martínez.

Before training, at 5:45 p.m. (4:45 p.m. in Lisbon), also at the National Stadium, Robert Martínez and a player yet to be named will give a press conference prior to the game with Slovakia.

The match is scheduled for 20:45 (19:45) and will be refereed by the Swedish Glenn Nyberg.

Three days later, on Monday, Portugal receives Luxembourg in the Algarve.

After four rounds, the team leads Group J, with 12 points, adding only victories, ahead of Slovakia, second ranked, with 10, and Luxembourg, third, with seven. Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iceland have three points, while Liechtenstein is down to zero.

The first two places in the group give direct access to the final phase of the Eurocup, which will take place next year in Germany.
