The president of Benfica, Rui Costa, was elected this Thursday for a four-year term, between 2023 and 2027, in the administration of the European Club Association (ECA), the Lisbon club reported.
Rui Costa joins the administration of the organization, headed by the president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, who is recognized by UEFA and FIFA as the only independent representative of football clubs at European level.
In March 2022, Águilas administrator Domingos Soares de Oliveira, who will leave the club, was elected to the ECA executive board, then replacing Miguel Moreira, former Águilas administrator.
Between Tuesday and Thursday the 30th General Assembly of the ECA was held in Berlin.
