French footballer Paul Pogba tested positive in an anti-doping test at the end of the first round match of the Italian championship between Juventus and Udinese.
According to the Italian news agency ANSA, the Bianconero player showed high levels of testosterone in the test carried out at the end of the match. Curiously, the Frenchman did not actually enter the field, but he was one of those chosen to take the test.
La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the 30-year-old could face a maximum penalty of four years of suspension. Pogba may request a counter-analysis, having three days to do so. However, the player is preventively suspended.
According to Sky Italia, Juventus are expected to comment on the case.
