Rui Pinto was sentenced to four years in prison, with a suspended sentence, in the case against Football Leaks, the chairman announced on Monday during the reading of the verdict at the Central Criminal Court of Lisbon.

Rui Pinto, 34 years old, was accused by the Public Prosecutor of 90 crimes: 68 of improper access, 14 of violation of correspondence, six of unlawful access, involving entities such as Sporting, Doyen, the law firm PLMJ, the Portuguese Federation of Football (FPF) and the Public Prosecution Service (PGR), as well as for computer sabotage of Sporting’s SAD and for extortion, in the form of an attempt.
