Djokovic extends his record at the top of the tennis rankings to 391 weeks

This Monday, Serbian Novak Djokovic completed his 391st week at the top of the men’s tennis ranking, which remains unchanged in the top-20, and in which Nuno Borges is the best Portuguese, in 88th place.

Djokovic, who took the lead last week after winning the United States Open and extending his record of Grand Slam titles to 24, maintains a comfortable lead over the Spanish Carlos Alcaraz, who led the standings before the North American tournament, and the Russian Daniil. Medvedev, second and third in the table, respectively.

The 36-year-old Serbian tennis player thus improves his own record of weeks at the top of the ATP ranking, which now totals 391.

Among the Portuguese, Nuno Borges rose one place and is ranked 88th in the ATP ranking, while Francisco Cabral maintained 54th place in the pairs hierarchy, led by the North American Austin Krajicek.

In the women’s classification, the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka remains in the lead, achieved for the first time last week, in exchange for the Polish Iga Swiatek, who remains in second place.

The North American Coco Gauf maintains third place, followed by her compatriot Jessica Pegula, who rose to fourth place, in exchange for the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, who now occupies fifth place.
