Former Brazilian player and coach Marinho Peres died this Monday at the age of 76, his wife, Mazé Marinho, reported on social media.
With more than 40 years of association with football, the former coach played on the benches of Vitória SC (86/87 and 92/93), Belenenses (87/88, 88/89, 00/01, 01/02 and 02/03), Sporting (90/91 and 91/92) and Marítimo (96/97).
In Portuguese football, he led Restelo’s blue team to win a Portuguese Cup and led Sporting to the semi-finals of the old UEFA Cup.
As a player, between 1965 and 1981 he represented clubs such as Portuguesa, Santos, Barcelona, Internacional and Palmeiras.
