For the match against the Ukrainians, FC Porto coach Sérgio Conceição will not be able to count on Iván Marcano, Danny Namaso and Evanilson, all injured, and Pepê, suspended.
For the sixth time he has not commanded two ‘dragões’ in the Champions League – since 2019/20 -, Conceição is going to try in Hamburg something that he never achieved, winning or initial encounter in the group phase, he has barely had a chance to appear in the phase to be eliminated once.
Shakhtar Donetsk is in the group stage of the ‘Champions’ for the seventh consecutive time, facing the ‘blue and white’ for the fifth time in the competition, who are still looking for their first victory, after two defeats and two draws.
The Group H match is scheduled for 8:00 p.m., at the same time as the Spanish champion, FC Barcelona, hosts Antwerp, champion in Belgium last season and making its debut in the Champions League.
The Italian Davide Massa was the referee appointed by UEFA to supervise the match between the ‘dragons’ and the Ukrainians.
Champion Benfica hosts Salzburg on Wednesday in a Group D match, the same day Sporting Braga plays at home against Napoli in Group C.
