The Quinta dos Lombos, champion of the Portuguese Cup, won the women’s basketball Super Cup this Sunday for the second time, by beating the national champion GDESSA Barreiro, 73-65, after extra time, in the 37th edition of the competition, in Montijo.
The winner of the 2022/23 Portuguese Cup, which had 28 points from Inês Faustino, was trailing at halftime by 26-24, in a game tied at 57 at the end of 40 minutes.
In the competition ranking, led by CB Madeira (seven trophies), Quinta dos Lombos, which repeated its 2017/18 triumph, joined União Santarém, Santarém BC, GDESSA and Benfica in seventh position, with two Titles.
