Iván Marcano will undergo surgery this Tuesday in Madrid. The news was reported by the newspaper OJogo and has already been confirmed by TSF.
The FC Porto defender will undergo surgery on his right knee, after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the match against Estrela da Amadora.
Marcano will be operated on by specialist Manuel Leyes, a doctor who operated on Éder Militão and Courtois, Real Madrid players, in August, precisely for the same type of injury.
This is an express request from Marcano and accepted by the FC Porto medical department, which will closely follow the entire intervention.
This is the second time Marcano has torn knee ligaments. The last one, in May 2020, forced a competitive break of about seven months.
