This Thursday, the PSP attributed a high risk to Friday’s classic between Benfica and FC Porto, from the seventh round of the I Football League, reinforcing its call for fair play among the fans of both teams.
“It is a high-risk game. A capacity of about 64,000 people is expected on a working day, when many people leave work, with an attendance expected very close to the time of the game,” began the attendant Figueira de Chaves, during a press conference held at the PSP Lisbon Metropolitan Command.
Figueira de Castro underlined that the high risk is the greatest predicted and that this was decided by the Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Violence in Sport (APCVD). Figueira de Castro called for a spirit of fair play among the fans, contributing to the appreciation of the show, which starts on Friday at 8:15 p.m. at Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon.

Regarding the possibility of tickets being sold well above their actual value, Figueira de Castro said ticket sales are being monitored and urged fans to purchase their tickets on official websites.
The PSP also emphasizes that fans can travel to the stadium as early as possible, the doors of which are scheduled to open at 6:15 p.m., two hours before the start of the classic, and that they preferably travel by public transport.
