FC Porto disputes this Wednesday with FC Barcelona the leadership of Group H of the Champions League, in a match on the second day of the competition, after the defeat against Benfica, in the I Liga.
Porto lost 1-0 on Friday at the Estádio da Luz, falling to third place in the championship, behind Benfica and leader Sporting, and still have several influential players injured, such as Pepe, Marcano, Zaidu, Veron and Evanilson.
On the first day, the Portuguese runner-up made its debut in the ‘Champions’ with a 3-1 victory over the Ukrainians Shakhtar Donetsk, in Hamburg, while the Spanish champion beat Antwerp 5-0, with the contribution of the Portuguese João Félix -scorer of two goals- and João Cancelo.
FC Porto and Barcelona, who have already met eight times in European competitions, with three victories for Porto and five for the Catalans, will face each other at 8 p.m., at the Estádio do Dragão, under the arbitration of Englishman Anthony Taylor.
On Tuesday, Benfica lost 1-0 against Inter Milan, in Group D, while Sporting de Braga won 3-2 against Unión Berlin, in Group C.
