Fifth-placed Sporting Braga looks to continue its recovery in the I Liga when it hosts 16th-placed Rio Ave after a motivating 3-2 victory over Union Berlin in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The match started in Pedreira. The visiting team was very close to opening the scoring in the 3rd minute, but Braga goalkeeper Matheus made a great save against a header from Aderllan Santos.
Two minutes later, the goalkeeper could no longer stop a beautiful play by Luís Freire’s team. Costinha provided the assist and Leonardo Ruiz the first goal at Municipal de Braga.
