Among the men, Tesfaye completed the 42.195 kilometer race in 2:09.31 minutes, leaving behind the Kenyan Douglas Chebii, who took 18 seconds longer (2:09.49 minutes), and the Ugandan Timothy Toroitich, who completed the podium in the Portuguese capital. and Completed the race in 2:09.58.
