Paredes, from the Portuguese Championship, beat Moreirense 2-1 this Saturday on the third day of the Portuguese Cup, with the I Liga team playing at a disadvantage practically throughout the match.
After Ponck’s expulsion, in the first minute, the fourth division team took the lead through Nuno Moreira (44), but Moreirense equalized through Alanzinho (59), before Onyeka (81) gave the victory to Paredes.
Paredes is the first team in the fourth division to guarantee its presence in the next phase, joining the divisional teams Sporting de Braga, Benfica, Portimonense and FC Porto, and Santa Clara, from the II Liga.
