“The PSP, as a result of monitoring the aforementioned event, promoted security management in public spaces, with a security force sufficient to control the crowd attending the general meeting, and no conduct subject to was subject to police intervention. , neither preventive nor preemptive. active. “No situation of change in public order was registered until the end of the police action,” he informed DN, guaranteeing that “no complaint was registered until the end of the afternoon today.”

The extraordinary general meeting of FC Porto, in view of the deliberation on the approval of the new statutes proposed by the Supreme Council, turned into a nightmare. At 9 p.m. on Monday it was immediately clear that the turnout would be large. Before the scheduled time for the work to begin, thousands of dragon members waited to enter the room scheduled for the main meeting. The space had a capacity of 300 people and there were about four thousand people waiting to get in, including André Villas-Boas, who had announced his attendance after harshly criticizing Pinto da Costa’s management and announcing that he would go to the polls for the 2024 elections. But that didn’t mean the big meeting was interrupted. And it was only when a member was attacked and forcibly removed from the premises after a speech that the meeting was suspended and postponed until November 20.

Meanwhile, the CNID – Association of Sports Journalists in a statement rejected “the attempts at coercion by some members of FC Porto” towards the journalists present.
