This Wednesday, Portugal carries out its last training session at the Cidade de Futebol, in Oeiras, before traveling to Liechtenstein, where it will face the local team, for the ninth day of Group J of the qualifying phase for the Euro 2024 football championship.
The team led by Roberto Martínez plans to prepare at 10:15 a.m., on the main field of the Cidade do Futebol, in Oeiras, with the first 15 minutes open to journalists, and will travel to Zurich, Switzerland, at 2:30 p.m. p.m.
On Tuesday, full-back Raphaël Guerreiro was the only player in the squad of 24 who was not present on the pitch, having remained in the gym doing recovery work.
In Vaduz, at the Rheinpark Stadion, venue for Thursday’s match, coach Roberto Martínez will preview the match, together with a player to be named, starting at 7:30 p.m. (6:30 p.m. in Lisbon).
The national team, already qualified and secured first place in Group J, will face Liechtenstein on Thursday, in Vaduz, at 8:45 p.m. local time (7:45 p.m. in Lisbon).
After the match in Vaduz, Portugal closes the qualifying phase on Sunday, against Iceland, at the José Alvalade stadium in Lisbon.
Portugal leads Group J with 24 points, eight more than Slovakia, second classified, with Luxembourg, third, with 11. Iceland is fourth, with 10 points, ahead of Bosnia-Herzegovina, with nine, and Liechtenstein, last, without No point. .
