Portugal, already qualified, seeks, against the fragile Liechtenstein, in Vaduz, a new victory in the qualification for the Euro 2024 football championship and gets closer to finishing Group J in a historic way, with only victories, something unprecedented

Looking ahead to the ninth day of the qualifying phase and with a guaranteed presence in Germany next summer, Roberto Martínez took advantage of his trip to the Alpine country to debut two players in Portugal’s main team: the already announced José Sá and Toti Gomes.
To resolve the doubts that arose when the national coach announced the starting eleven for this match, Rúben Neves joined António Silva and Toti Gomes in a central trio, with João Cancelo playing on the right and João Félix on the left. Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva were the midfielders behind the three forwards: Diogo Jota, Gonçalo Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo.
As expected, Portugal took control of the match, but without obvious scoring opportunities. The first threat came in the 13th minute, with a long-range shot from Rúben Neves, followed by a good intervention from Büchel.
The Portuguese team, in the first 20 minutes, had difficulties creating finishing moments inside the area, ending up relying more on the forwards’ centers, but without much effect.
