It’s the second time in less than a month. In the early hours of Wednesday, trouble arose again at the home of André Villas-Boas, candidate for the presidency of FC Porto. This time the disrespect ended when the condominium security guard was attacked.
According to TVI, the confusion started around 2 a.m. with the explosion of fireworks near the residence of the former FC Porto coach who already assumed, although not yet officially, that he could advance to the race for the presidency of the Dragons.
According to TVI, a group of individuals returned to the scene around 6 a.m. and even physically attacked the caretaker of the house, who was reportedly being treated at the hospital. The attackers fled in a stolen car.
Authorities arrived on the scene and seized several glass bottles and an item of clothing.
An article of clothing and glass bottles left there by the suspects, whose identities are unknown, were seized.
In late November, the walls of the condominium where Villas-Boas lives, in Porto, were vandalized with paintings. All these disputes come at a time when the former Porto coach is preparing for the 2024 elections and has been a highly critical voice for Pinto da Costa’s management.
On November 13, FC Porto’s Extraordinary General Assembly was marked by insults and attacks between members, leading to the cancellation of the meeting, which has since been ineffective.
