Nacional, from the II Football League, qualified this Saturday for the round of 16 of the Portuguese Football Cup, by beating Casa Pia, from the I League, 6-5 at home, in the penalty shootout.
After 120 minutes without goals, the island team won the ‘lottery’, in which they only missed one shot, while the Lisbon team wasted two, the last one by the Bosnian Zolotic.
The island team joins the divisional teams Vizela, FC Porto, Gil Vicente and Sporting de Braga in the ‘eighth’ and the neighboring Marítimo, also in the II League.
