In the decisive phase, the Spanish Jorge Martín (Ducati) took pole position beating his compatriot Marc Márquez (Honda) by just 13 thousandths of a second, with the Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) in third position, 0.186 seconds.

Bagnaia is just two points behind the championship leader, Frenchman Fábio Quartararo (Yamaha), who qualified fifth, 0.206s off the day’s fastest.

With the time set this morning, of 1.27.767 minutes, Jorge Martín beat the record held by the Spanish Jorge Lorenzo since 2013 (which was 1.27.899).
