This Saturday, Spain became European women’s roller hockey champion for the eighth time, beating Portugal 4-0 in the final, held in Olot, Spain.

In a match in which Portugal never managed to trouble the host team, Spain went into half-time leading 2-0, with goals from Aina Florenza, in the 11th minute, and from Marta Piquero, in the 15th, a player who extended the score. She made it 3-0, at 45, after converting a penalty, while Anna Casarramona closed the score, at 49.

With this title, Spain reaches eight trophies, the seventh in a row, in a list in which Portugal follows, with three titles, the last of which dates back to 2001.
