Sporting isolated themselves at the top of the I Liga this Monday, by beating FC Porto 2-0 at home, in the match that closes the 14th day.
The Swede Viktor Gyökeres (11 minutes) and Pedro Gonçalves (60) scored the goals for the lions, in a match in which the ‘dragons’ were reduced to 10 players, after the expulsion of Pepe (51).
With this victory, Sporting has 34 points, one more than Benfica and three more than FC Porto.
