Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper kidnapped and robbed at home

Goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier, Donnarumma’s usual replacement at Paris Saint-Germain, was kidnapped along with his wife and two children during a robbery at his home on Monday evening, AFP reported today.

According to a police source quoted by the French news agency, the robbery of the football goalkeeper’s home in Hadricourt was carried out by four people, two of whom were minors.

Three of the four perpetrators have already been arrested and the Public Prosecution Service has opened an investigation into alleged crimes of extortion with weapons and kidnapping.

According to information from a source close to the family, Alexandre Letellier’s wife was punched in the face and the couple was threatened with a knife, while the thieves tried to extort money from them.

The same source said the house’s alarm was activated, however, and police and club security forces acted quickly.

The robbery at the home of Alexandre Letellier, 33, follows several similar incidents involving Paris Saint-Germain players or close family members.

In July, Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was slightly injured when his house in Paris was robbed, causing damage amounting to around 500,000 euros.

Benfica player Angel Di Maria, who played for Paris Saint-Germain at the time, also had his house robbed in March 2021, and in the same year the father of Brazilian defender Marquinhos was also robbed and kidnapped.
