The Portuguese futsal team lost today at home against Georgia, 2-1, on the sixth and final day of Group E of the Elite Round of qualification for the 2024 World Cup.
In Tbilisi, Neves put the world champions ahead in the 22nd minute, but Chimba equalized for the Georgians in the 33rd minute and Ghavtadze scored the winner in the 39th minute.
With its presence already assured in the 2024 World Cup, which will be held in Uzbekistan, Portugal lost the first points, but won Group E, with 15 points, six more than Finland (one game less), nine more than Georgia and 12 than Armenia (one game less).
