Spanish midfielder Gavi, 18, who plays for FC Barcelona, won the Kopa Trophy on Monday, presented by France Football to distinguish the best young under-21 footballer in the world.
Also the midfielders Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid) and Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich) closed the podium of a race in which the Portuguese Nuno Mendes (PSG) finished in fifth position, behind Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund).
In the top 10 Josko Gvardiol (RB Leipzig), Ryan Gravenberch (Bayern Munich), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Karim Adeyemi (Borussia Dortmund) and Florian Wirtz (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) also appear, in descending order of classification.
The last winner of this trophy was Pedri, a Spanish midfielder who also plays for FC Barcelona. In 2019, Matthijs de Ligt was distinguished and, in 2018, in the first edition, the winner was Kylian Mbappé.
