“The Portuguese Fernando Santos has been appointed coach of our A football team. We welcome him to his new home,” can be read on Besiktas’ Twitter.
At 69 years old, Fernando Santos was out of work since he left the Polish national team in September, which he only managed for six games. Now He will be the fourth coach of the Turkish club this season.
According to the Istanbul team, the former Portugal and Greece coach will have his compatriots João Costa, Paulo Mendes, Fernando Justino, Ricardo Santos and Jorge Rosário in the technical team.
The Portuguese coach will have his first adventure in Turkish football after seasons in the Portuguese and Greek championships, with I haven’t managed a club since 2010.at that time PAOK.
