The Benfica management wants to renew the contract with Rafa and the businessman António Araújo confirms that the first talks have already begun.
“We started talking about this issue and that’s enough for now,” the striker’s agent revealed to TSFand added that the process is still “very premature.”
The SAD led by Rui Costa wants to extend the connection with Rafa until 2027, that is, two more years, the newspaper O JOGO writes this morning.
A TSFAntónio Araújo confirms that Rafa is happy at the club and that it shows “on a day-to-day basis and in what he always presents to the public, in every match.”
Rafa is 29 years old and is linked to Benfica until 2024. The termination clause is 80 million euros.
