Benfica’s coach, Roger Schmidt, confirmed this Thursday that David Neres will return to the Reds’ options for the derby against FC Porto, which takes place this Friday.
Without revealing whether the number seven will start, the German coach limited himself to adding that “it is the first time this season” that the Benfica club has all the players available, without injuries.
“Neres is ready, we are happy about that. Yesterday [quarta-feira] He has already trained and I think he has already shown his quality, we are going to take care of him and we are happy to have all the players available”, he said.

The last time the Brazilian stepped on the pitch in an official match was on October 5, in a match between the eagles against Paris Saint-Germain, in the Champions League. Less than a month later, he is available again.
David Neres was signed by Benfica from Shakhtar Donestk, in the last summer market, for around 15 million euros. In seven official matches played in the 2021/2022 season, the Brazilian scored three goals and provided four assists.
Benfica, first classified in the I League, travels this Friday to the second classified, FC Porto, and the kick-off is scheduled for 8:15 p.m.
