Miguel Oliveira was this Sunday in 13th place at the Malaysian Grand Prix in Moto GP. The Portuguese driver from Barreiro had started in 19th position and still managed to recover some positions in a race that he described as “quite frustrating”, comparable to some he has had this year.
The Italian Francesco Bagnaia was the winner of the Malaysian GP, thus achieving his seventh victory of the season. However, the conquest of the title was postponed for the last race of the championship, in Valencia, since the Frenchman Fábio Quartararo (Yamaha) was third.
Bagnaia finished the race 0.270 seconds ahead of the Italian Enea Bastianini (Ducati), with Quartararo in 2.773, in a race in which the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira (KTM) was 13th, 24.918 seconds behind the winner.
With these results, Francesco Bagnaia already has 258 points and a 23-point advantage over Quartararo in the championship, when there are only 25 left at stake, at the Comunitat Valenciana Grand Prix, in the Spanish city of Valencia, on November 6.
