Australia national team players demand more rights for Qatari workers

Several players from the Australian soccer team give voice to a video where they demand more rights for Qatari workers, including greater sexual freedom in the country that organizes the soccer world cup. In this appeal, midfielder Jackson Irvine recalls the conditions to which the workers were subjected in the construction of the stadiums.

“We know that the decision to host the World Cup in Qatar was due to the suffering and harm of countless workers,” said Jackson Irvine.

Denis Genreau, on the other hand, called for changes to the laws that block sexual freedom.

“As footballers, we fully support the rights of LGBTQIA+ people. In Qatar, people are not free to love whoever they want.”

In this video posted on social media, Australian players call for a soccer world cup they can be proud of.
