Germany faces Portugal in the quarter-finals of the Roller Hockey World Cup

The Portuguese team will face Germany tonight in the quarter-finals of the Roller Hockey World Cup, which takes place in San Juan, Argentina, after the Germans defeated Mozambique in the play-off (3-2) this Thursday.

With a difference of a few hours, and after closing the first position of Group B of the Intercontinental Cup (World Division II) on Wednesday with a defeat against Australia (11-0), Germany will take on the world champion in title, after beating Mozambique in the play-off.

Nico Morovic and Lucas Karskov (2) scored the goals of the German team, with Renato Castanheira and Bruno Pinto turning Mozambique’s, fourth in Group B, on only defeats, which was won by host country Argentina.

Germany secured its play-off entry to the quarter-finals of the World Cup by winning Group B of World Division II, with victories against Austria (4-1), Andorra (4-2) and Australia (11-). 0).

The World Cup quarter-finals, to be played between tonight and Friday morning in San Juan, will feature the following matches: Spain-France, Portugal-Germany, Angola-Italy and Argentina and Chile or Colombia (match taking place this afternoon).
