Portugal thrashes Germany and plays the ‘socks’ with France in the Rink Hockey World Cup

Portugal thrashed Germany 10-1 this Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Roller Hockey World Championship, which takes place in San Juan, Argentina, and will face France in the ‘half’.

The Portuguese team entered the game well, well organized and with a pace that already presaged a goal in the first minutes.

Henrique Magalhães opened the scoring, in the eighth minute, after a pass from João Souto.

The team led by Renato Garrid continued to dominate without much trouble, however, until the break, they only scored once more. Gonçalo Alves, from a penalty, was the author of the goal.

The second part began a festival of goals. Captain João Rodrigues scored a ‘bis’ after four minutes and Rafa, who was celebrating his birthday, had the gift of scoring the fifth goal.

A series of goals for all tastes followed, with victories for Hélder Nunes, Telmo Pinto, João Souto, João Rodrigues and Gonçalo Alves. Germany also had the opportunity to score the goal of honor through Max Thiel.

Portugal will thus play this Friday against France in the semifinals of the competition, a match that will take place at 22:30 (Portuguese time).

Match played at the Pabellón Aldo Cantoni, in San Juan, Argentina.
