The Portuguese soccer team begins its preparation for the final phase of the World Cup this Monday, with the Portuguese team appearing at the Cidade do Futebol to carry out the first training session under the command of Fernando Santos.
The session is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., with the first 15 minutes open to journalists, with no statements expected from any of the 26 summoned by Fernando Santos for the competition that takes place in Qatar.
In addition, all the players are expected to be present at the session and, until Wednesday, the work of the “quinas” team will remain free, that is, the athletes will only have the obligation to appear at the Ciudad del Fútbol for the workouts, having total independence before and after training.
Portugal has scheduled a preparation match with Nigeria, led by José Peseiro, on Thursday, at 18:45, at the Estádio José Alvalade, in Lisbon.
On Friday, the Portuguese delegation will leave for Qatar, with its scheduled debut in Group H of the 2022 World Cup on November 24, against Ghana, at Estádio 974, in Doha, before facing Uruguay on November 28, already South Korea, by Paulo Bento, on December 2.
The 22nd edition of the World Cup starts on Sunday, with the duel between the host Qatar and Ecuador, for Group A, and ends on December 18.
