64 matches, 23 commentators and intense coverage of the 2022 World Cup. This is Sport TV’s schedule for the World Cup, which starts next week in Qatar.
From November 20 to December 18, Sport TV follows the World Cup “down to the minute”, focusing on the Portuguese team and its Group H opponents – Uruguay, Ghana and South Korea, coached by Paulo Bento. There will also be highlights for other title contenders, including Carlos Queiroz’s Iran.
“Our antenna will have a channel dedicated exclusively to the World Cup. It will be dedicated only to football 24 hours a day, for 29 days,” explains Nuno Ferreira, director of programming and information for the sports channel.
For example, football fans are assured of the broadcast of all 64 matches of the 2022 World Cup on Sport TV, 28 of which are exclusive to the channel.
“We will be livestreaming more than 700 hours and we will not just stick to the games, we will also follow the entire process before and after. We want to offer our subscribers an involvement with the players, teams and training sessions”emphasizes Nuno Ferreira.
Sport TV also offers coverage of training sessions for the Portuguese national team, broadcasts of press conferences and direct reports from the hotel where the national team will meet. In addition, the “biggest team ever” of 23 will have commentators responsible for analyzing the games.
The news on the sports channel also ends with “Desafio Mundial”, a program with five daily editions and produced in Qatar, which will follow the match with “the aftermath of the working day of Portugal and the opponents”.
