The Portuguese football team will start preparing for the final phase of the World Cup this Monday, with the Portuguese team presenting itself in Cidade do Futebol to carry out the first training on behalf of Fernando Santos.
The session is scheduled for 5pm, with the first 15 minutes open to journalists, and no statements are expected from any of the 26 called up by Fernando Santos for the match taking place in Qatar.
In addition, all players are expected to be present at the session, and until Wednesday, the work of the corner team will be kept in a free regime, that is, the athletes are only required to appear at Cidade do Futebol to training sessions, with full independence before and after.
Portugal has a preparation game with Nigeria on Thursday at 6:45 PM, by José Peseiro, scheduled at Estádio José Alvalade, in Lisbon.
On Friday, the Portuguese delegation will leave for Qatar, with their debut scheduled in Group H of the 2022 World Cup on November 24, against Ghana, at Estádio 974, in Doha, before playing against Uruguay and South Korea on November 28. Paulo Bento, on December 2.
The 22nd edition of the World Cup starts on Sunday, with the game between hosts Qatar and Ecuador, for Group A, and ends on December 18.
