The organization of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar reported on Monday assists for England-Iran and Senegal-Netherlands above the official maximum capacity of the respective stadiums, after they had already done so for Sunday’s opening game.
The 6-2 thrashing of the British against the Iranians, coached by Carlos Queiroz, has registered an attendance of 45,334 people on the match sheet, while the maximum capacity of the Khalifa International Stadium, also communicated by the organization, is 40 thousand.
The same happened at the Al Thumama stadium, with 41,721 people registered on the match sheet, available on the FIFA website. Qatar believes that this sports venue has the capacity to house 40,000 fans.
The same had already happened in the opening game, in which Ecuador defeated the hosts 2-0, 67,372 were reported in the Al Bayt Stadium, whose maximum capacity is 60,000.
