The five-time champion Brazil began its participation in the 2022 World Cup with a victory this Thursday, beating Serbia 2-0, on the first day of Group G, in Lusail.
A brace from Richarlison, who scored in the 62nd and 73rd minute, sealed the victory for the ‘canarinhos’, champions in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002.
In the other group game, Switzerland beat Cameroon 1-0, so the Brazilians and Swiss lead with three points, compared to none for the Serbs and Africans.
