Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa pointed out that Fernando Gomes, winner of two Golden Boots and top scorer in the history of FC Porto, “not only had a lot of internal success, but also brought his internal success, through his club and the Portuguese team “. , abroad”.

“That was very important,” he defended.

The President of the Republic recalled the footballer as “a great scorer” and “a great forward”, who “was in his own way a great leader in his team and in the teams in which he played, that is, also in the national team “. Because he was very objective, very determined, very fast.”
