He is the son of Portuguese parents and president of the Uruguayan-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, but he was born in the South American country and today it is the blue sky that bets.
“I love Portugal, but today my heart is heavenly,” says Eduardo Panasco. This businessman assures that, even so, he will sing the Portuguese anthem at the beginning of the game. “I’m going to sing ‘Às Armas, Às Armas’, but I have five nephews, they are already the third generation, who are waiting for me to watch the game. And these are Uruguayans, Uruguayans, ”he says.
Eduardo Panasco is in Montevideo, but he was recently in Portugal. He visited cities like Lisbon, Porto and Caminha.
She also remembers having gone to the World Cup in Russia, in 2018, where the team lost to Uruguay and was eliminated from the competition: “I was there, in the Uruguayan cheerleader,” she recalls.
“They told me I could sing the Portuguese anthem, but I couldn’t celebrate Portugal’s goals,” he recalls with a laugh.
