Footballer managers received a total of around €500 million in the latest transfer market, while training clubs only made 70, according to a FIFA report published today.

The document shows that the agents earned 498.8 million euros, a much higher amount than the 69.29 the clubs received as compensation for the training rights of the players.

“These figures prove that there is a need to reform the transfer market and limit the value intermediaries can receive in player transactions, in order to have more and more transparency,” reads the report of the body that governs world football.

In just 10 years, between 2012 and 2022, the percentage entrepreneurs had to receive on each transfer went from 6.1% to 9.9%.

The report shows that between June 1 and September 1, when the transfer market was open in practically all countries, €5 billion was processed, an increase of 29.7% compared to 2021, values ​​that indicate a resumption of world football. after two years of the covid-19 pandemic.

A total of 9,717 transfers were made, with England leading the way in spending with €1.8 billion, followed by Italy with 549 ME and Spain with 479 ME.
