Andreia Carvalho is Portuguese and has lived in South Korea since 2019. The 30-year-old student is doing a PhD in Multicultural Education. Speaking to TSF, Andreia says that, these days, her heart is divided: the match between Portugal and South Korea, for the Soccer World Cup, causes her mixed feelings. Even so, he admits that, with the team already qualified for the next round, he is a little yearning for the South Korean victory. After all, he says, “Portugal is my country, but Korea [do Sul] It’s my second home.”
The game is being watched with great anticipation in the country, where the South Koreans “are crazy about the soccer world cup.” 20 years later, Portugal and Korea meet again for the World Cup and, therefore, this is “a special match”, says Andreia.
Portugal South Korea starts when it is midnight in Seoul. Andreia Carvalho will attend the meeting in a bar in the capital, reserved by the Portuguese embassy. With her will be her South Korean boyfriend, who had to be “convinced to watch the game between the Portuguese.” Will he be angry in case of a Portuguese victory?
