England eliminated Senegal from the 2022 World Cup this Sunday after beating the African team 3-0. In the quarterfinals of the competition, the English have an appointment with France, which left Poland on the road.
Jordan Henderson opened the scoring in the 38th minute, assisted by Jude Bellingham. Closing the first half, three minutes after the regulation 45, it was Phil Foden’s turn to serve Harry Kane for 2-0. In the second half, it was Bukayo Saka’s turn to close the score 3-0, at 57′.
In the quarterfinals, England, world champion in 1966, will meet on Saturday, at 7:00 p.m. (in Lisbon), again at the Al Bayt Stadium, in Al Khor, France, winner of the competition in 1998 and 2018, who beat Poland 3-1, with an ‘encore’ by Kylian Mbappé.
