Brazil beat South Korea, coached by Paulo Bento, 4-1, to secure qualification for the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup, where they will face Croatia.
The game was quickly settled as after 13 minutes Vinícius Júnior and Neymar (penalty) had put the Brazilian team into a comfortable lead, with Richarlison and Lucas Paquetá each scoring another goal before the 36th minute.
Paulo Bento couldn’t believe what happened to his team, who beat Portugal 2-1 on Friday.
In the second half, the Brazilians went to save energy, already thinking about the quarter-finals, and the South Koreans showed their grace, with goalkeeper Alisson showing off a great level but unable to stop Seung – a powerful shot from ho Paik, from outside the box.
