Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer ends the season after being injured skiing

The German international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, from Bayern Munich, will be out of the competition until the end of the season, due to a serious leg injury suffered while skiing, the footballer announced this Saturday.

“Hey guys. What can I say? The end of the year definitely could have gone better. While trying to clear my head and ski, I broke my shin yesterday. [na sexta-feira], The operation went well. Many thanks to the doctors! It hurts me to know that, for me, the season is over,” the guardian wrote on social media.

The injury to the captain of the German team, who has 116 international matches, occurred just over a week after the ‘mannschaft’ was withdrawn from the 2022 World Cup, after having finished in third place in Group E, in the first competition phase.

This season, 36-year-old Manuel Neuer has played 16 games for Bayern Munich, the club he has represented since the 2011/12 season, after playing for Schalke04, the club from which he graduated.
