Lionel Messi won the best player award at the 2022 World Cup, held in Qatar. Enzo Fernández, a Benfica player who represented Argentina, received the award for best young footballer.
After Argentina won the world title, the two players went on stage at the Lusail Stadium to be honored with the awards, along with Emiliano Martínez and Killian Mbappé.
The Argentinian goalkeeper was considered the best in his position, while the Frenchman has to settle for the top scorer award.
